What is Palm Sunday?
Palm Sunday falls on the Sunday before Easter. Churches bless and carry palms, recalling the crowds who welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem, and read the account of his Passion.
It marks the turn from Lent into the most solemn week of the Christian year, the week that runs through Good Friday to Easter.
