Can I add the widget to my Android Lock Screen?

On a Google Pixel running Android 16 or later you can add it to the Lock Screen too. Many Samsung and other phones only allow their own built-in widgets there, so instead you can turn on the daily verse notification in Pray Focus to see a fresh verse on your Lock Screen.

Why is the widget not appearing in the list?

Open the Pray Focus app once, make sure it is updated, then reopen the widgets menu. Restarting your phone can also help.

Open the app once so it can load today’s verse.

Add the widget to your Home Screen

On any Home Screen, touch and hold an empty space until a menu appears.

Tap “Widgets” in the menu, just below Wallpaper & style.
Touch and hold, then tap Widgets (steps 1 to 2).

Scroll to Pray Focus, then tap it to see its widgets.

Touch and hold the Verse of the Day widget until your Home Screens appear.

Slide the widget to where you want it, then lift your finger to place it.
Find Pray Focus, then drag it out (steps 3 to 5).

To resize it, touch and hold the widget and drag the dots on its edges, then tap outside the widget when you are done.
These steps follow a Google Pixel on stock Android. Samsung and other brands put the Widgets button in a slightly different place, but the flow is the same: touch and hold the Home Screen, open Widgets, then drag Pray Focus into place.
