The app also tracks your mood after each session and builds a streak of consecutive prayer days.

What permissions does the app need?

During setup you will be asked to grant Screen Time permission (Family Controls) so the app blocker can lock your chosen apps. This is a required system permission for the blocking feature to work. Pray Focus only uses this permission to enable and disable app restrictions at your chosen prayer time. We do not access, store, or transmit any of your screen time usage data.

What if I don't finish my prayer?

Is my prayer journal and mood data private?

Yes, completely. Your prayer journal entries, mood logs, and all personal data are stored locally on your device. No account is required to use Pray Focus, and we never collect or transmit your personal data to any server. If you enable device backup, your data backs up through your device's encrypted system. You can optionally choose in settings whether to share anonymous, aggregated analytics with us. Privacy is a core principle of Pray Focus.

Can I use Pray Focus in other languages?

Yes. Pray Focus currently supports English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. All prayers, Bible verses, and the entire interface are fully translated for each language. German prayers use the Luther 1912 Bible translation, Italian uses the Riveduta 1927, Spanish uses the Reina-Valera 1909, Portuguese uses the Almeida Recebida, and French uses the Louis Segond 1910. You can switch languages anytime in Settings.

If you miss a day, you can use the streak repair feature up to 4 times per month to restore your streak. This gives you flexibility for travel or busy days without losing your progress.

The AI Prayer Generator supports 11 traditions including Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Pentecostal, and Non-denominational.

All prayers are from public domain sources: Scripture, traditional and liturgical prayers, and prayers from saints and Church Fathers. No AI-generated prayers are included in the library. Each prayer is fully available in English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and French with native translations.

Does my data sync across devices?

Pray Focus stores all data locally on your device. If you have device backup enabled, your prayer data will back up through your device's encrypted backup system and restore when you set up a new phone. There is no cloud account or cross-device sync built into the app itself. This approach keeps your prayer life private and ensures the app works fully offline.
